Questions?

What is CBD?

CBD (cannabidiol) is one of hundreds of active compounds (cannabinoids) found in the hemp plant. It is a naturally occurring, plant-based remedy used to reduce anxiety, pain, and sleep issues without any mind-altering effects.

Will CBD get me high?

Absolutely not. CBD is non-psychoactive and non-intoxicating. Suntiva’s manufacturing process removes nearly every element of THC from our full-plant hemp extract so that our tablets are virtually THC-free. THC is the cannabinoid responsible for that intoxicating “high” associated with recreational cannabis or marijuana use, CBD does not have that effect.

What’s the difference between hemp, cannabis, and marijuana?

There is a lot of confusion surrounding these three terms. Cannabis is the shortened name for the scientific name Cannabis sativa L which includes both hemp and marijuana. Cannabis has been around and used for thousands of years in many different ways including as a source of industrial fiber, seed oil, food, recreation, religious and spiritual moods and medicine. For different applications, different subspecies of cannabis are used. Hemp and marijuana are both subcategories of the cannabis plant.

Hemp was legalized and further defined by the 2018 Farm Bill as a cannabis plant containing less than .3% concentration of THC. Hemp is largely grown to harness the health benefits of CBD and other non-psychoactive cannabinoids. The term marijuana has become known as a label for cannabis that contains high levels of THC. Suntiva products are exclusively made from hemp.

What is broad-spectrum CBD?

Broad-spectrum CBD offers the greatest health benefit and requires a sophisticated level of processing to precisely control the cannabinoid content. Broad-spectrum CBD uses the best part of the hemp plant and reduces it down to a full-plant extraction to include all the healthy cannabinoids natural to the hemp plant. The trace elements of THC from the hemp plant are then filtered out of the extraction, leaving all the healthy parts of the plant Mother Nature intended – but no THC.

Full-spectrum maintains levels of THC and does not include the extra steps necessary to reduce the levels of THC. Any product that includes levels of THC introduces additional levels of risk, whether it be a psychological risk, drug testing concerns, or other general apprehensions.

Isolate CBD uses just a concentration of the CBD molecule and does not include any of the other elements of the plant. All of which are carefully crafted by Mother Nature to offer additional health benefits, and even further, work in concert with one another. Isolate is largely considered an ineffective way to take CBD, but it does not have the risk a product with THC introduces.

Suntiva chooses to take the extra steps required to make broad-spectrum products so we can offer all of the health benefits associated with CBD and cannabis, with none of the risk and psychoactivity associated with THC.

Is CBD safe?

CBD is a safe, naturally occurring cannabinoid. When taking CBD products it is most important to know that the company you are buying products from is developing its CBD products safely and in compliance with industry standards. That means no pesticides, no heavy metals, no uncertified policies and procedures. Suntiva uses third-party lab testing to guarantee that our products are safe. Please visit Our Process [link] and our Lab Results [link] section for more information on our certifications, lab results, and certified manufacturing process.

Does Suntiva test its CBD products?

Suntiva’s manufacturing process is certified to FDA standards. This certification is known as GMP (good manufacturing practices). It is a rigorous set of standards that we are proud to comply with. It ensures that every step in our process and every product we manufacture is rigorously tested, traced, and tracked.

Does Suntiva test its CBD products?

Drug tests screen for the presence of THC, the psychoactive cannabinoid in cannabis, not for CBD. Taking THC-free CBD products (broad-spectrum or isolate), like Suntiva products, will not cause you to fail a drug test. There is a small chance that the molecular similarity of THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol) could create a false positive when testing. The likelihood of this is low and not greater than the likelihood of a conventional false positive. If drug testing is a major concern of yours please review our Lab Results and consult with your primary care physician before taking our Suntiva products.

A) Everyone’s body is different, and the same way different people have different responses to Advil or Melatonin, people have different reactions to CBD. The most common feelings associated with taking CBD are relaxation, pain relief, improved focus and clarity, and improved sleep. Many people also take CBD as a general wellness supplement to improve their overall health like a multivitamin.

CBD is considered a biphasic supplement, meaning at different dosages it can have different effects. It’s similar to how one glass of wine has a very different impact than four glasses of wine – that would be considered a biphasic effect. Many people feel that a low dose of CBD (about 10mg) improves their energy levels, focus, and clarity, and a higher dose (about 30mg) will promote a better night’s sleep, reduce muscle aches and pains, and offer a relaxing effect. The best way to figure out how CBD will affect you is to try it and find the right dosages for you– try our Sample Packs [link] to learn more about what dose of CBD is right for you.

B) CBD, short for cannabidiol, is one of hundreds of compounds found in the cannabis plant. The primary compounds found in the cannabis plant are commonly referred to as cannabinoids and all have their own properties and interactions with the human body. Cannabinoids are naturally occurring substances that have been found to improve health and wellness. Most CBD is derived from hemp plants, which are classified as cannabis plants with <.3% THC concentration. CBD does not have a psychoactive effect like THC.

What’s the difference between hemp, cannabis, and marijuana?

There is a lot of confusion surrounding these three terms. Hemp and marijuana are two subspecies of the cannabis plant. Cannabis has been around and used for thousands of years in many different forms all across the world – it has been used for industrial fiber, fuel, seed oil, food, recreation, religious and spiritual practices and medicine. For different applications, different subspecies of cannabis are used. Hemp is cannabis that contains little to no THC. Marijuana is largely understood as cannabis with high levels of THC used for recreational or medicinal purposes.

Hemp was legalized and further defined by the 2018 Farm Bill as a cannabis plant containing less than a .3% concentration of THC. One reason people grow and utilize hemp is to harness CBD and other non-psychoactive cannabinoids.

Suntiva products are exclusively made using organically grown hemp.

What is broad-spectrum CBD?

CBD can come in three different forms: broad-spectrum, full-spectrum, or isolate.

Broad-spectrum CBD requires expert level manufacturing to produce, but offers the greatest combination of safety, efficacy, and wellness. Broad-spectrum CBD uses all of the natural ingredients of the hemp plant, but removes the trace levels of THC until THC is no longer detectable. Broad-spectrum CBD has all the elements of the hemp plant, without the risk of THC.

Full-spectrum CBD is also a full plant extract, but this form of CBD does not include the extra steps required to remove the THC to a level that is non-detectable. Full-spectrum CBD has the same health benefit of broad-spectrum CBD, but for those who are concerned about ingesting even a small amount of THC, full-spectrum CBD is not for you.

Isolate CBD uses a concentration of the CBD molecule and does not include any of the other elements of the hemp plant. Isolate is largely considered an ineffective way to take CBD because it strips away all the parts of the plant that are known to work in concert with CBD, and which also provide their own wellness benefits. Similar to broad-spectrum CBD, Isolate does not contain THC.

Suntiva uses a full-plant extract, broad-spectrum CBD in order to produce the most effective, safe, and reliable products. Our goal is to offer world-class CBD products, with none of the risk and psychoactivity associated with THC.
